  • zeh-major1 Published 2022-03-21 THE AUTHOR don't know if this system "used" to work, but I've been running Windows 10 and the previously stated is certain crappiest finest hyped free space taking out tool I've ever seen. When erasing the recycle bin only, 100% of specific time it erases not happening files due to "the file names are too long". Sometimes a file names persist a single number such insofar as "0". In succession there's the authentic fact that it doesn't erase the pile tips on CERTAIN of the files when wiping free space. Usually you want to clear a cluster tricks because even if you wipe the donated space, as long in the same way that the cluster suggestions take place the files can still conventionally be reconstructed by a skilled individual. Destroyed my partition trolley, received ice blue screen of death trying to erase a partition against a separate drive coming from where my scheme partition is. YOUR HUMBLE SERVANT was very careful in marking the correct partition. Yet instead of erasing the partition it messed up my screen tables preventing I among booting. I secured specific immediate BSOD upon executing specific command. Their system drive is unusual NVMe so perhaps this software does not support that. 1 user found this review helpful.
  • vertigo316 Posted 2018-06-28 Decent program that does the job with minimal fuss. It did randomly quit their further day in the middle of individual job, which I luckily checked in it and took note of, regardless I'm not sure if that was Eraser's or Windows' fault. As some others have mentioned (complained about), it arranges take a lengthy time, but that's just the nature linked to what it's doing, and all programs become going to be slow; if they're irrelevant, they're not doing a good assignment. THIS OBSERVER tried several others, and they ranged from horrible to ok. Of them, one or two would probably be suitable alternates for this one if it were to stop working, alternatively THIS HUMBLE SERVANT would say Eraser is probably the best interface and it's pro bono, portable, and can produce files, free space, and entire drives. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of parallelization, i.e. being able to wipe multiple external storage simultaneously. I see no good reason why that shouldn't be possible, and searching the forums it came off as the hacker intended to add it in v6, but whom turned years ago and it's now on v6.2. I signed up touching the forum to inquire about it, for all that then couldn't post, so that was a massive relinquish of time. To the devs, in case you read this: don't use certain forum because of contribution then not let people item in it (shouldn't be required to be said, but at this spot it is). In the direction of no one looking to do multiple drives that arises to read the case: as I added, I tried plenty of programs, and none of them decides to operate it outside of one, which you harbor to buy. What I dissolved up doing is setting up some VM with DBAN and assigning the drives I wanted to clear to the VM. DBAN wipes various drives along parallel, but doing it in a VM endorses for the computer to continue being practiced instead of being tied up for days, along with it besides facilitates DBAN can only behold the manages anyone want to wipe, naturally the condition helps prevent mistakes.

If your drive is 1TB or enlarged and your time stands as worth feature, it will be faster and cheaper to copy the items to be kept to a new drive and decimate that old drive. Contrary to the information given here, the forum is unimportant for support. Everyone will be forced to produce a 10-character password for his forum resume — does either admin think we only have one forum account or that we should be forced to store and retrieve thousands related to secret codes for sites that don't have any intuitive information? — only to find that "you have insufficient privileges to post" a question, so there is no support in that moment. And all of the links in the FAQ topics I was enthusiastic in (erasing free space) are broken.
